While at the Camperdown Cruise a couple of weekends ago, I grabbed a few shots of this Valiant. I have to be honest, it’s not the sort of car I would usually be interested in, but the paint job just grabbed me! My knowledge of this model is limited, so I asked for some input on the Fuel blog and Facebook page. Here is some handy info that I got back. Cheers guys!
Deon: “It is a VG Valiant pacer I think made in 1970. The 245 HEMI is a great engine, as I also had one in my VJ Valiant Charger. Trouble is they sure suck the juice down with a duel throat Holley. The licence plate says 285??? Is it actually a 265 bored out to 285???”
BigEv: “Not that many built in Go Green from memory … that is, if it’s original. Can’t offer much else sorry!”
Terry: “Very nice indeed, always good to see a valiant survivor, Chrysler had some pretty far out colours in the 70`s (as did gm n ford).Pretty sure tho that a lime green wasn’t an option for the VG pacer of 1970,that hue of green was available in the valiant range of 1973-5 tho. With a different stripe package on the VJ sedan and charger.”
