Whilst up in Queensland last year for the hot rod show on the Gold Coast, I made the most of it by doing a few extra photoshoots, a couple of them for a regular client; Volkwagen Magazine Australia. Both Meyers Manx buggies, but both totally different builds.

This matt black number is owned by Tony Statham and is a pure strip racer. Powered by a 2276cc lump supporting duel Weber 48 IDA carbs, rips a quarter mile time of 8.14.

The second of the buggies was an offroad project built by Kurt Bogholz at Beach Buggy Australia.

Both fun shoots.. one a cleaner, more civilised set up. The other out in the dirt getting grubby in a quarry. Two cool projects, and the latter made the front cover of the current issue of VWMA, which was a result.
