The Middle East could very soon have a car of its very own. King Abdullah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has just announced plans to put the Saudi Gazal 1 into full-scale production.
The car is based on the platform of the GCC favourite, the Mercedes G-Wagon, and has been designed as a joint project by students at Riyadh’s Saud University – with a bit of help from designers at Studiotorino and engineers at Magna Steyr.
Magna already build the G-Class for Mercedes, so it’s quite easy to see how the Gazal could make production reality.
