Chinese carmaker Geely is said to be planning the launch of a new car brand in Europe.
The new brand is set to be a more affordable alternative to its Volvo brand, as reported by Reuters. Reports state that the brand could be seen in Europe toward the end of this year.
Geely told Autocar that it plans to unveil a new product range during this year and more information surrounding that will be revealed in due course. The new brand is said to be the brainchild of both Geely and the Swedish carmaker Volvo (now owned by Geely), seeing the two brands working together. The new range is said to share the same underpinnings as planned future Volvo models.
