With its crème de la crème of the automotive world assembled, the Gold Rush – now in its fifth year after an inaugural run in 2008 – takes in some of America’s most vibrant cities on a week-long road trip. This year the circus will be hitting Las Vegas, Chicago and Dallas among others.

Entrants though will not just be ticking off the highway clicks. Stop offs this year include Spring Mountain, Rocky Mountain National Park, enough nightclubs to ensure bleary vision the next morning, and the odd yacht party or two. In short, glamour, luxury, and some hideous checks to pay along the way for the supercar train. The entry fee does get you a free cap though.

There’s also some track driving on the agenda. This year the troop makes its way to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for some quick burnouts before testing those newly-ruined tyres out at the Atlanta Motorsports Park.
