Infiniti’s Q60 Concept debuts in Detroit, and takes aim at BMW and Audi rivals.
[Not a valid template]We’ve already told that Infiniti‘s Q60 Concept was coming – well, now it’s here, and after its reveal at the Detroit Motor Show, we now know a lot more about the car that will form the basis for the next production Q60 coupe, which will be launched next year.
The concept car looks almost production ready, and the specifications hint very strongly at what we’ll see from the Q60 proper. Size-wise, it’s virtually a match for the BMW 4-Series at 4690mm long, 1865mm wide and 1370mm high, and power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3-litre V6, as seen in the Q80 Inspiration launched at Paris last year. This will be part of a new family of lighter, smaller, more efficient and more powerful Infiniti engines due to be launched within the next two years.
The Q60 Concept also sports a revised version of Infiniti Direct Adaptive Steering, which the company says is faster than a traditional mechanical system. It moves on the system launched on the Q50.
The design? Well, here’s a video to tell you more.
