Jaguar’s F-type Coupe and Roadster gain new colour options and more standard equipment
Jaguar has released details of some minor model year updates for the Jaguar F-type Coupe and Roadster. Available to order now at dealers, the biggest change is the removal of the 400 Sport model, which as Jaguar promised, was only to be available for a limited period.
As for the rest of the range, the Jaguar has rejigged the naming structure for non-V8 models so that the car names reflect the metric horsepower (PS) power output. Entry-level four-cylinder cars adopt the P300 name, while the V6 models take P340 and P380 badges in line with other Jaguar Land Rover products. Each of these models is also still available in standard or R-Dynamic trim, the latter integrating a subtle suite of visual changes and larger wheels. Both V8 models keep their R and SVR designations.
Other changes include standard fitment of Jaguar’s torque vectoring rear differential and adaptive dampers on the P380 model. A larger 10-inch TouchPro infotainment system has also been fitted as standard across the range, although smartphone integration is still notable by its absence – a problem being rectified later in the year according to Jaguar.
A new, wider colour palette is also available from Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations, including the option of matt finishes, a snip at $8400.
Prices will start at $71,420 for a P300 Coupe, rising to $158,500 for the top-spec SVR. Roadsters attract a premium of just under $7730 model-for-model. It’s available to order now and first deliveries of the updated F-type are expected next month.
