It is a well known fact that Japanese roads are the worst in the world. There are many reasons for this but the two biggest culprits are obvious. The first reason is the perfect road surfaces which exist all over Japan that even modern machinery struggle to find appropriate traction on. The second, and perhaps more serious reason, is that the Japanese road network was developed before the monotonous straight line was invented and therefore contain multiple corners.
