Another Honda that stood out was this CR-X Spyder. I have no idea if this is an original Straman Spyder or a later conversion, since I didn’t get to speak to the owner. If it is, then that makes it super-rare with only 310 examples produced.

The Mitsubishi Starion was sold in North America as the Chrysler, Dodge or Plymouth Conquest and there were a few present at JCCS. It has been years since I have seen a Starion and had forgotten how fantastic they look. Boxy 1980s Coupés are definitely seeing a resurgence in popularity, and the Starion is surely the leader of the pack.

One of the most successful cars in history is the legendary 40 Series Toyota Land Cruiser. Still a common site on roads (and off) all over the world it is rare to see such pristine examples like the two that were on display at JCCS as they are normally fulfilling the work-horse roll for which they were designed. Incredibly, Toyota still provides replacement parts for the 40 Series, thus ensuring the survival of the model for many years to come.
