Noted petrol-nut Jon Olsson finally pulls the wraps from his latest creation, a 2016 Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4. With ski-box, of course…
“It’s wild back there! Yeah, you can’t test a car like this, with this much power, in the rain.”
Of course he does. This is Jon Olsson we’re talking about, professional alpine ski racer from Sweden, and owner and purveyor of some of the more mental, modified supercars the motoring world has ever seen. You may perhaps already be familiar with his Rebellion R2K, Ultima GT-R and Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640.
Like his previous creations, Jon’s latest – another Lamborghini – does not disappoint. At the base is a 2016 Huracán LP610-4 (our test drive of which, you can read HERE), though on top lies his now customary camouflage livery and 56Nord-designed ski-box. “Most people think I am crazy to put ski boxes on Lambos,” the man himself explains. “But since I am actually going to use this and drive around in the alps all winter, I need space for my skis!”

It’s underneath the slightly obscure body though that the real work has been done. The 5.2-litre V10 remains intact, although a VF Engineering supercharger kit – modified in extremis by Stertman Motorsport – and Eventuri carbon fibre air intakes means the Huracán’s 602bhp figure now tips nearer the 800bhp mark. Official performance figures have yet to be announced, although Jon Olsson believes on the run from 100kph to 200kph, the modded Huracán would be level pegging – give or take – with a Bugatti Veyron. A volcanic soundtrack escapes via a new, Akrapovic exhaust system.
New Girodiscs replace the stock ceramic brakes and new K & W suspension completes the package, although not for the reason you might think: “I just love the look of a slammed Lambo, but I wanted to make sure the performance and handling remained the same. It now feels like a way tighter, lower version of the standard Huracán.” One he’ll be putting to use soon through the snowy mountain roads of Europe. Be sure to check out the beginning of Jon’s latest adventure once you’ve stopped drooling.
