The final touches are made to the C&P Project Car, our 2015 Jeep Wrangler

Several weeks of hard work have been put into the C&P Project Wrangler to the point that it’s almost unrecognisable from the stock 2015 machine we started with.
First port of call was Jeepers, where we bid farewell to the front fenders and both bumpers to be replaced with bespoke one off items and a superb re-upholstered interior for an all-new badass yet plusher look. It was when the Wrangler hit Ramy 4×4 though that work got really serious, with heavy duty modifications being made to the suspension components – courtesy of adjustable King shocks and reinforced axles – plus, naturally, those massive 35in BF Goodrich KM2 tyres. Last up came the engine bay, the Wrangler’s standard 3.6-litre V6 Pentastar receiving a cold air intake system and AOR speedbooster – plus a Gibson exhaust – all in the name of rejigged power and torque. Should be interesting to see what figures Ramy 4×4 have actually managed to pull out of the bag when the Wrangler finally hits the dyno, but that’s for another day.
A lot of work, a lot of sweat and tears, but we weren’t quite finished. With the Jeep back from Ramy 4×4, it was time to install some Bestop skeleton doors with matching colour covers (like we say, badass), ditch the roof, and install a 9ft flag. Well, you’re never 100 per cent sure when you’ll be 8.5ft under the sand, now do you?
All that was left – aside from weeping over the tattered remains that was our budget for this project – was a wash (and one last photoset). For this, we paid a visit to the guys at Sonax Professional Car Care Centre (Al Quoz), sister company to Ramy 4×4 for a full detailing, walked through for us by company figurehead Cristen. First the car is washed, including undercarriage high pressure wash only using Sonax chemicals that break down composited residues from underneath the car, like dust or heavy-duty grease. From here Ariel, the chief polisher, takes over to really bring out the colour depth and remove any scratches the paint may have received. These things do take time obviously, but as you can see from the images above, it was well worth it. We can’t wait to hit the dunes with our monster Jeep, and you never know, we might do some more awesome modifications in the future.
