Ken Block takes the Hoonigan Racing Division Ford Fiesta for a spin (actually a couple) through the desert in Utah.
We’ve seen many playgrounds for Ken Block, from San Francisco and Los Angeles to – sooner or later – Dubai. This exploit though takes in the Hoonigan Racing Division-prepped Fiesta and its internationally renowned driver in the 120km stretch of desert between Capital Reef and Goblin Vallety, Utah.
The video extract is produced courtesy of American photographer Jim Mangan, one of many pieces of promotional material for his new book Blast. Those of you keen to see tyre smoke, the accompanying scream of tortured rubber and an iconic landmark or two, you may be disappointed. It’s an elegantly shot piece of film, one with a surprisingly eerie soundtrack that continues to draw you in, despite the 7m runtime.
Be warned, not for everyone. But if you fancy watching Ken Block both in and out of his element simultaneously, this may yet intrigue you…
