Ken Block is a man who never fails to get us excited. And he’s done it again in this video from Autocar.
Ken can be seen in the video showing journalist Matt Prior his ‘Hoonicorn’ – steady on – I mean his not-so-traditional V8 all-wheel-drive (AWD) Ford Mustang, aptly nicknamed ‘Hoonicorn’.
Originating as a 1965, six-cylinder, Mustang, the decision was to go for a 410ci Roush-Yates Ford small-block engine, topped with previous-generation NASCAR D3 cylinder heads, and pushing out a tasty 845bhp.
“This is the best car I’ve ever driven; it’s based off what I use for stage rally and rally cross, so it’s got a centre differential, front differential and rear differential. But, the drive train goes around the engine,” Ken says.
Weight distribution is practically balanced – a little more in the front but not by much, with a 50/50 power split. Check out our very own Danielle Bagnall’s top 10 drift cars, here.
