There are more than a couple of benefits to be had when you live within five minutes of an FIA approved race track. One being that when Cabell and Tarek from Khaleji Motorsport call to say they are heading down to test their awesome collection of Porsche prior to the start of the racing season I can get down there in a flash.

Now I know these pics are a bit old and almost irrelevant now, however I just had to post them as I still think they are quite cool. The Khaleji Boys and the rest of the ARM massive had booked the track out for some last minute testing in the Cup cars and kindly asked us to come down and grab some pictures…so I charged over camera’s in hand!Click a pic to see more.

Preparing the cars for their runs – As you can see from this pic Khaleji also had their 997GT3 RS down at the track making sure everything was still ticking as it should before Paul and John Sinders jumped into the drivers seat.

One of the big things that the guys wanted to get a grip of was the handling variance generated by not being able to run on the Michelin Tyres the car was designed and built to run on. The UAE Championship dictates that everyone run a controlled Dunlop that can cause some head aches….
