We’ve all been in this situation. The car has rolled to a halt in the middle of a main road, your plan to coast the car to the nearest garage now in tatters. And so begins the two-mile walk of shame with a jerry can, amidst the laughter from passing cars and now fellow-pedestrians. How can the embarrassment of this situation be avoided? Fill up more often? Ridiculous! There’s a much better solution.
For those of you who simply must have a fashion label on everything you own, DSC – or Death Spray Custom Works if you insist – presents ‘Lady Cans’. Using urethane paint, the London-based artist is now embellishing simple steel jerry cans with the colours of leading fashion brands.
For those of you who enjoy a bit of window-shopping, Fendi, Louis Vuitton and Chanel have all received their own concept models, though whether the monogrammed straps come as standard has yet to be confirmed.
And for those of you who already own a Fendi, Louis Vuitton or Chanel handbag, here’s some advice from crankandpiston: first, don’t clash colours; and second, keep an eye on which bag you’re pouring the petrol in.
Our thanks to Ralf Becker.
