Many of these trinkets (and let’s not pass by the six-speed e-Gear sequential gearbox and roll cage) have been plucked directly from the Super Trofeo racecar to make the Stradale what Lamborghini label ‘the most extreme Gallardo ever’. Too true! We rarely see Lambos more badass than this, and the fact that only 150 of them are rolling the global streets just adds to the mystique.
As you can imagine then, shooting Lamborghini’s tribute to Italian motor racing proved a delicate task for Mr Justus Nyman. While the temptation to bolt in and snap the Dubai-plated beast quickly before it inevitably bolted for the Automobili gates in San’ Agata Bolognese was enormous, the last thing you’d want to do with a muscle-hewn bull is to spook it. A day with a supercar: it’s a dream we all share. But with dusk comes the approach of nightfall. Before long, those eyes will once again be staring through the darkness, it’s true power and force hidden by the shadows. Dawn though is always just around the corner.
