A headlight and a grille. That’s all we’ll see of the facelifted Lexus ES until its debut.
Lexus has given us a sneak peek at the revised ES saloon, ahead of its premiere at the Auto Shanghai show later this month.
The ES has been a long-standing presence in the Lexus line-up, having been first introduced in 1989. Since then, ore than 1.7 million have been sold, with the latest introduced in 2013. This new one will be mechanically very similar, but expect some cosmetic tarting up, including the headlights and the grille, as this teaser pic shows. From the looks of it, Lexus is funking up the lights with some L-shaped LED numbers, while the latest incarnation of the family grille makes an appearance too.
According to Lexus, the new car “maintains its classical elegance while conveying a more dynamic experience and luxurious craftsmanship”. So, there you go. We’ll find out more, actual information when the new Lexus ES is revealed on April 20.
