Recently we stumbled across the latest special edition timepiece from Chopard. More specifically a Jacky Ickx Edition V. Since Ickx and Chopard boss Karl-Friedrich Scheufele are old pals – they often compete against each other in historic racing events, including the Mille Miglia – the six-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner has already had four Chopard watches designed in his honour.
This fifth example though is even more exclusive, with just 2000 examples available for a paltry $11,100.
Don’t think you’d just be buying the Ickx inscription though. There’s a 24-hour sub-dial as a nod to the endurance classic and a tachtonic bezel for speed and distance calculations. And this being a Jacky Ickx model, rain probably won’t affect its performance either.
