I received this from my good friend Steve back in the UK, and it was too good not to post up..
“We were out in Portugal a couple of weeks back visiting some friends who have taken early retirement and moved out there for good. They live up in the mountains. Whilst we were there we went to a place that made terracotta pots and in one of the sheds was an old American car. Turned out to be a Chrysler Windsor Deluxe, I think possibly from 1954. It was covered in years of dust and gently rusting away. The owner of the place wasn’t to keen on me taking pictures so I only got a few. Just the job for a custom car project I thought.
Apparently in Portugal it only costs about 6 – 8 euros to ‘tax’ a car but about 180 euro to scrap it, so nobody does the just shove them in a corner and forget about it!!”
