If you’ve no idea what we’re talking about, firstly shame on you! Secondly, this is a quote from the original Mad Max in 1979, an Australian epic outlining a post-apocalyptic society hell-bent on kicking the living hell out of each other. Oh, and it also made Mel Gibson famous.

After two sequels (one of which starring a Thunderdome we’d rather not talk about), Max will next year return to the silver screen in the questionably named ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’. The main protagonist is Max Rockatansky, who in the original film lost his wife to the Toecutter‘s murderous clan. ‘Mad’ Max didn’t take it too well.

56-year-old Gibson has long since hung up his leathers, leaving Tom Hardy to step into the Aussie breach. Given the amount of spike-encrusted hardware against him (as leaked recently through FuturoFinale2088AD), it does make you wonder if the former-police officer can pull it off.
