Mercedes-Benz AMG has revealed the new hot C63 cabriolet at this year’s New York motor show.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged 469bhp 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine, mated to AMG’s seven-speed Speedshift automatic gearbox, which drives the rear wheels. The C63 can reach 100kph in 4.2seconds, while the C63 S gets there in 4.1seconds. Both have an electronically limited top speed of 250kph.
Included on the model is AMG’s Drive select system which gives the choice of four different driving modes; comfort, sport, sport plus and race.
Exterior features include a new front bumper, a new rear bumper, aluminium bonnet, as well as a new aluminium bonnet.
The fabric roof is functional at speeds of up to 50kph. An optional Acoustic Hood is also available, which adds sound deadening material for reduced noise.
Price and details as to when the model will go on sale have yet to be revealed.
