Unscathed but wider-eyed, you’ll try a more tentative approach into the next turn. And pay the consequences. Suddenly the front – planted but twitching – has risen to the challenge too, compelling you to give it the beans by hitting the apex all too easily.
Into the third corner then, you go for broke: give the left hand paddle a tweak, feel the 7-speed kick unhesitantly, and keep feeding in the power. Suddenly you’re going sideways, the rears smoking venomously and engine notes bellowing through the cabin. Think quick and you won’t spin. Again, that would be too easy.
And that’s just the point. This C63 AMG, already so brutal and savage with its S+ war paint on, is capable of so much more. Quicker launches, sharper turning, ferocious braking, more balanced power. And shorter fuses. Hit the limit and the AMG will give it’s best to snap you in half and reduce your arrogance to jelly.
Hit the main road though, switch back to C with a shakey hand and flick your eyes side-to-side nervously as a perfectly sensible, four door saloon seems to rematerialize once again out of the ether.
Sophisticated. Agile. Terrifying.
How else would you describe it?

i’m loving this car at the moment, had one recently on the track, in the rain, more than great fun……just awesome. Only problem is it’s like teasing a Rottweiler with a nice juicy bone, great fun for a while watching it dance around, but you know at some stage its going to bite you hard.
Not as good as an M3 or a 991 in so many ways, but much more fun than both
