BMW reveals the new 4 Series Convertible ahead of its Los Angeles Auto Show debut.
[Not a valid template]The wait is over. First there was the gorgeous new 4 Series Coupe, then the monstrously powerful M4. Now BMW has finally shown mercy and revealed the new 4 Series Convertible.
The new-for-2014 model – one of several debutants to be unveiled by BMW at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show – loses none of its looks, and unsurprisingly it’s roof. There is however little else that has hit the scrapheap. The Convertible from launch will be available as either a 428i or 435i (as its hardtop counterpart also was), BMW offering the 240hp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder and 300hp 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged six-cylinder units from the get-go. Transmission options include the eight-speed automatic and six-speed manual.
US prices have also been confirmed for the model, the topless rear-wheel drive 428i starting from $48,750, while the sportier 435i comes in at $54,900.
Altogether now: phwoar!
