Frankly, previous Rios have failed to excite us even a smidgeon, but the Korean company has had something of a design revolution in recent years thanks to former Audi pen-man Peter Schreyer’s arrival on the scene.

Not for the first time, we’re of the mind that the next Kia to hit the streets will be something of a looker. Kia’s sketches often look a lot like the finished product, so this could end up being pretty darned impressive on the eye.

How it’ll drive is another matter entirely, but we like the way the company’s heading. We’ll get to see the new car in the metal at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in March.
