Pricing and specification details have been announced of the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class cabriolet.
Mercedes has announced the pricing and specification details for its all-new S-Class cabriolet.
The convertible gets three engine options: the S500 comes with a twin-turbo 4.6-litre V8 with a power output of 455bhp and a 0-100kph of just 4.6 seconds, the Mercedes-AMG S63 gets a 5.5-litre V8 twin-turbocharged unit generating 585bhp, giving the model a 0-100kph of 4.2 seconds, while the range-topping S65 features a 6.0-litre V12 twin-turbo with an output of 630bhp and a 0-100kph of 4.1 seconds.
All three models are electronically limited to a top speed of 250kph. This can be increased on the S63 and S65 to 300kph with the optional AMG Driver’s package.
Standard equipment on the S500 AMG Line includes AMG body-styling, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, AIRMATIC air suspension with variable damping control, satellite navigation with COMAND Online system including dual 12.3-inch TFT displays, AIRSCARF neck-level heating, heated and ventilated seats with electric operation and memory function, leather upholstery and an automatic boot separator.
In addition to the AMG Line standard equipment, the Mercedes-AMG S63 adds a front splitter in matt silver, AMG radiator grille with twin louvre in matt silver, AMG chrome-plated twin tailpipes, 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, Burmester surround sound system, AMG sports exhaust system and Nappa leather upholstery.
A premium package is also available at a cost, featuring bigger alloys and 360degree camera. There is also a carbon fibre package, which is available from $7,000.
The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class cabriolet is available to order now from $154,500.
