The all-new Range Rover Sport SVR, which is expected to debut some time this year, could get even more boost.
[Not a valid template]The savage Range Rover Sport SVR could get 25bhp more power than its predecessor when the muscular SUV makes its debut.
It’s been speculated that the new SVR, a headline figure of Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations, could receive the same 5-litre supercharged V8 used to great effect in both Project 7 and the new F-TYPE SVR, lumping an additional 25bhp on top of the Sport SVR’s already ample 542bhp power output. Consider that 575bhp-budging power output that entails, and that leaves rivals like the Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5 M and new Maserati Levante languishing in the dust, with only the new Bentley Bentayga and Mercedes-AMG G65 outmuscling Coventry’s finest.
Land Rover isn’t giving too much away about the newly revised Sport SVR, but reports suggest that the model could arrive early next year, along with an updated Sport range. Let’s not forget that the new Lamborghini Urus could arrive achingly close to that too…
