Could your next car be designed using an F1 development simulator? Well, if McLaren is anything to go by, it could well be.
McLaren has been doing it since 1998; designing its F1 cars and sports cars using a virtual reality simulator – yes, really.
The British manufacturer has teamed up with MTS (car testing equipment specialists) to market the third generation of its system to other car makers… at a cost of $10 million!
McLaren seems to do pretty well with it, so maybe it’d be a good thing for the rest of the automotive industry.
