6. Alpina B4 Convertible
[Not a valid template]Following the launch of the B7 bi-turbo at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, Alpina has confirmed that a new convertible will make its global debut at Goodwood this weekend. Based on the BMW 4 Series, the new B4 convertible features a 403bhp 4.4-litre bi-turbo V8 at its base, which produces 600Nm (443lb ft) of torque and is capable of 0-100kph in 4.5 seconds. Though not quite on par with the 600bhp B7, the B4 convertible has nevertheless been marketed as an ‘exceptionally fast car with near supercar performance’. This being an Alpina though – as we found out last year with the B6 – that’s not the be all and end all for the company that’s been around since 1965. Consequently performance, comfort, and – specifically – style have each been given a tweak for that Alpina character.
Should you be feeling frisky with the cheque book this weekend, the new B4 Bi-Turbo Convertible retails for $93,200.
