Anybody who has hit the track at the Nurburgring – be it in a performance brute with tyres that require punishment, or with a Playstation controller and a six-pack of Red Bull – will know that timing is everything. Nordscheife seem to have taken that a little more seriously than most, judging by the latest timepiece the crew has rolled out to assembled the media masses.
This is the exclusive Nordschleife chronograph. And we’ve got to be honest, for a timepiece honouring arguably the most famous motor racing circuit in the world, there’s not quite as much lunacy as we may have expected. Still, there are some neat little touches.
The embossed ‘Nordschleife’ on the face, for example, will stand a reminder of the near-$240 you forked out for the trinket. It’s matt black finish makes it look suitably badass. And the timepiece weighs exactly 144g, exactly the same number of corners the German circuit has.
We have heard though that when winding it up, depending on how fast you go, it will still take over 10 minutes from start to finish…
