The C-X75 ‘Bond’ car will headline Jaguar’s stand at this year’s Dubai International Motor Show alongside the company’s first ever production SUV, the F-PACE.

First unveiled as a concept model in 2010, just two years later production plans were scrapped owing to the global economic crisis. The concept was brought back from the dead this year by both Jaguar and development partner Williams Advanced Engineering, and has been showcased at both this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show and in the UK during Spectre shooting alongside Aston Martin’s DB10.

Boasting Jaguar’s first carbon composite monocoque chassis, the plug-in hybrid C-X75 utilises a Formula 1-inspired, 1.6-litre dual-boosted (turbocharged and supercharged) four-cylinder, which kicks out 502bhp. Combined, the hybrid package produces ‘in excess of’ 850bhp and 1000Nm of torque. Said powertrain is mated with a seven-speed manual transmission.

Also headlining Jaguar’s stand in Dubai is the F-PACE, which made its debut at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Based on the same modular aluminium platform as the XE and new XF saloon, and is targeted at the BMW X3 and Porsche Macan. Despite its shared underpinnings, more than 80 percent of the F-PACE components are new, including an 80 percent-proof aluminium body. Key among the engine line-up is a 3-litre supercharged V6, which produces 375bhp and 332lb ft of torque, enough for a 0-100kph time of 5.1 seconds. Speculation has suggested that Jaguar’s established 5-litre supercharged V8 could be at the base of an ‘SVR’ F-PACE further down the line.
