Woo, the time has finally come! Ford has begun production of the long awaited third-generation Focus RS.
[Not a valid template]A new era for fast Fords is dawning with the start of production of the all-new Focus RS performance hatch. The first of its kind has recently rolled off the production line in Saarlouis, Germany.
The Focus RS is one of 12 new performance vehicles Ford will bring to customers globally before 2020 (including, by the way, the all-new GT) and is powered by a specially engineered version of Ford’s new 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine delivering maximum power of 340bhp and sprinting from 0‑100kph in 4.7sec, making it the fastest accelerating Ford RS model ever. It also gets all-wheel drive (AWD) with dynamic torque vectoring for improved handling over previous models, while a ‘drift’ button allows for controlled oversteer drifting.
