The new Porsche GTS Macan SUV will come equipped with a 360hp (20bhp more than its predecessor) 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol V6 engine, with 500Nm (369lb ft) of torque. It comes mated to a seven-speed double-clutch transmission, alongside Porsche Traction Management (PTM), which manages power distribution to all four wheels.
Its 0-100kph sits at 5.2 seconds (5.0 secs with the optional Sport Chrono package), while top speed is 257kph.
The Macan GTS can be recognised at first glance by exterior accents in high-gloss black above the waistline and in matt black to the lower areas of the body. There is also a special version of the sport design styling package in GTS-specific colouring. It now sits 15mm lower and comes with 20-inch diameter RS Spyder alloy wheels and has a completely re-engineered chassis and uprated brakes.
Standard equipment includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), sports exhaust, 20-inch diameter matt black finish alloy wheels, Sport Design exterior styling, sports seats with ‘GTS’ interior highlights, digital radio, front and rear ParkAssist, floor mats, multi-function steering wheel with gearshift paddles, electronic tailgate release, USB port, Bluetooth connection. A new sports exhaust system is also included, while LED headlights are available as an option.
The new Macan GTS is set to be priced from $84,437.
