After what seemingly has been a life time waiting for our prized ‘Rocco to arrive, we got the call from Caren at the VW Middle East Regional office, to say that the little white number had arrived and was ready to rock and roll. We’d had the pleasure of playing with the options list with the little coupe and it looked truly awesome in it’s fresh Candy White dress, truffle leather and toys spilling from every corner.
When you work in PR, you need to be dedicated to the cause…
So with all the required paper-work completed, it was time to hit the car park and go through the details. Ignore the corporate face (which actually works), this little number is a lovely looking car.
Thankfully, the lovely Caren stepped up and walked us through all the bits and bobs on the car that needed explaining. To be honest though, as with every VW we’ve had the pleasure of driving, everything is easy to work out and simple to operate. So with the iPhone hooked up and music sorted it was time to head-off.
Fresh as a daisy.. 573kms (500 of which was put on by the guys at VW to ensure everything was ready to go)
Before we shot off round the corner though, we had the opportunity to have a final wave off from Stefan Mecha, the Managing Director of VW Middle East ( seemingly a closet c&p.com fan). As always with Stefan it was a humorous sign off.
Over the coming months, we’ll be bringing you life behind the scenes with the ‘Rocco and if we are lucky VW might let us turn it into a Touring Car and take it racing. You never know, stranger things have happened >>>

I want one! A white one, with tinted windows! I drive a Jetta, and I don’t need four doors!
