1, Paul Crowder’s documentary on life during Formula 1’s golden era, is now available in its entirety on YouTube. But for how long?
What with the media hype surrounding Ron Howard’s recent Rush, which chronicles the 1976 Formula 1 World Championship fight between Niki Lauda and James Hunt, Paul Crowder’s 2013 documentary 1 fell beneath the radar. Though that’s not to say it’s not worth a watch.
Taking in the thoughts and recollections from some of F1’s more legendary names – including Sir Jackie Stewart, Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Martin Brundle and Michael Schumacher among others – 1 is Crowder’s take on F1 during its golden, and thus most dangerous, era. And if you need further convincing, the director even pulled in Magneto himself – Michael Fassbender – in to narrate the documentary.
We’d advice you to get a wiggle on though. The chances of this YouTube video still being live by the end of the month is slim to non-existsent.
