Mexican supercar company Vühl is preparing to unleash its first cars around the world, with a particular focus on the Middle East. The company, run by two brothers, has developed the Vühl 05 lightweight machine and has appointed a Middle East dealer to sell in Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar, with the first cars due to arrive at the end of this year.

The Vühl 05 was first revealed at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it was driven up the hill by Mexican F1 driver Esteban Gutierrez, where it generated considerable interested. A British dealer is also about to be announced. Vühl spent 2014 completing final development on the 05, and is now ready to take orders.

Weighing just 695kg, the Vühl is built around an aluminium monocoque and powered by a mid-mounted Ford EcoBoost turbocharged engine with 285bhp, which propels it to 100kph in 3.7 seconds. In the UK, the launch price will be just short of $94,000. The gearbox is a Ford six-speed manual, and it rides on double wishbone suspension all around.

Roll on the end of this year, when hopefully we’ll have a chance to look at the Vühl 05 in more detail.
