Porsche and Esso team up to present an extraordinary pit stop ahead of the team’s return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Presumably most if not all of you will have seen the car wash ‘made extraordinary’ by the McLaren Formula 1 team and Jenson Button, which also includes a brief cameo from this season’s MP4-29. It’s a pretty cool setup, one that has clearly inspired Porsche ahead of its first official LMP1 start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 1998.
Intercut with archive footage of La Sarthe visits from years gone by, a humble 991 is transformed into the LMGTE-contending RSR at an Esso garage.
Of course it’s no R18 e-tron quattro pulling donuts, but…
