Earlier this year Drive’s Chris Harris sampled an early prototype of the Porsche 918 Spyder. He was worried. Porsche‘s new hybrid hypercar is crammed with technology – a V8 from its LMP2 race car, two electric engines, lightweight materials and myriad stability systems. Is that overkill? Will it translate into a triumph of engineering ambition over fun?
