Porsche has revealed two new Cayenne Platinum edition models, which are set for release toward the end of this year.
Powered by 300bhhp 3.0-litre V6 units, the new editions will only be offered for a limited period of time and will feature additional sporty cues. The Cayenne and Cayenne S E-Hybrid Platinum edition feature 20-inch RS Spyder design wheels, new leather and alcantara, eight-way, electrically adjustable sport seats and stainless steel door sills with illuminated ‘Platinum Edition’ lettering.
Solid black and white paint finishes are standard, with Jet Black, Purpurite, Mahogany, Carrara White, or Rhodium Silver metallic paints optionally available. The wheel arch extensions are also available in body colour. The models’ exclusive appearance is rounded off by a high gloss black exterior trim package. The plug-in 3.0-litre V6 Cayenne S E-Hybrid Platinum Edition model also comes with auxiliary cabin conditioning which allows the vehicle to be programmed to use the heater or air-conditioning to pre-condition the cabin before the driver enters the vehicle. The new special editions will be available to order later in the year, with prices starting from $65,600.
If all that sounds familiar, it might be because a ‘Platinum edition’ Cayenne was also offered in limited numbers two years ago. Remember this…?
