We introduced Omran Al Owais a week or so back with a preview of his cool photography. Now not only is Omran a dab hand with a camera he is also a superb race car driver and a purveyor of a great collection of cars.The first memory I have of Omran was him disappearing up the road in an SR3 in the Radical Cup support race for the Desert 400 in Bahrain. He literally drove away from the field, that at the time had some very talented drivers. Since then I have begun to realise just how good he is with a camera and when we asked if he would like to help out with crankandpiston he jumped at the chance.

This is a cool back date project completed by the team at Lap57 in Sharjah. The true Porschephiles amongst us will pick holes all over it, however its neat, tidy, cool and being driven in the Middle East. Can’t say fairer than that!

In my mind one of the best dashboards in the car world…Quirky and ergonomically deficient it just seems to work.

Legends out on the road…Two Air Coolers and a Water Pumper. Next time out we will aim to join Omran with a 964 and another 993…just need an early and a 996 to make up the collection.
