They fly through the air, but with the greatest of ease? We strongly suspect not – the 12 riders making up the first stop of the Red Bull X-Fighters world tour made it look pretty simple, but letting go of a motorbike while upside down and 20 feet off the ground can’t be anything other than rather dangerous.

The X-Fighters’ first visit to Dubai was a big success, with 15,000 people cramming onto JBR beach to watch some of the best freestyle motocross riders battle it out. After some jaw-dropping tricks, Spain’s Dany Torres emerged triumphant with some incredible flip variations and some bad-ass style. As the tour heads off to Brazil, we’re already looking forward to their return to the Middle East.
