The Reem International Circuit based in the countryside of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and sitting in what can be described as a big patch of empty desert, is home to one of the most vibrant and well attended scenes in the Middle East.
The track only carries a Grade 3 license which is refreshing in this part of the world as that means they haven’t thrown the kitchen sink at a track to cater for the likes of Formula 1. So more a 4 star resort designed for fun then and the people that actually need it?! Sounds good so far.

This past weekend Reem have hosted one of the largest Motorsport based events in the whole region – ActionHA. Roughly translating to Action It, the event is chock full of awesomeness and more importantly; people.
Where else in the Middle East would you see a crowd like that and Formula Drift World Champion, Vaughn Gittin Jr. lighting up the wheels in the first Ford Mustang RTR to be seen in the region?!
The super successful Mini Championship has made its way over to Reem too and put on a great show for the crowds at ActionHA. Close, affordable and fun racing…
There is something so awesome about a stunning track built in the middle of the desert. Mind you, the cross winds bringing copious amounts of sand onto the track will make life more than a touch interesting.
Reem also played host to the Middle Eastern Radical Championship. It would be great to see the Middle Eastern championship grow with an amalgamation of themselves and the UAE Sportscar Championship – hopefully someone will make it so. (How great does this SR3 look in Hankook livery???)
The enigmatic Gittin Jr. getting prepared for a demo run to blow the crowds away..
Looks stunning doesn’t it? A lone 997 GT3 RS pounding out the laps.
Reem Circuit – Saudi Arabia – Looks like Petrolhead nirvana. The quiet before the storm.
Added to the motorsport side of things, ActionHA also played host to a custom car show. American/Mexican Low Rider culture is big news in the Kingdom.
