*THROWBACK THURSDAY* Former Nürburgring 24Hrs winner Sean Edwards hits the Nürburgring for a VERY wet lap. At full pelt.
Tragically taken too young following an accident at the Queensland Raceway in Australia (not of his doing), the Brit was a favourite on the UAE motorsport scene, a Dubai 24 Hours and Nürburgring 24 Hours former winner, and a formidable contender in a Porsche GT3 Cup car. The below tribute – uploaded by Drive channel in November 2013 – is a moving one, and we encourage you to take 1m 42s out of your day to play it. We though prefer to remember Sean Edwards as the peerless presence behind the wheel that he was, as this on-board lap of the Nürburgring – in absolute pissing rain – more than emphasises.
