Shot of the Day. Ferrari vs Lamborghini. F40 vs Countach.

It’s difficult to know what to focus on first in this pic.

Logic suggests it’s that hulking great Ferrari F40 badge. Our regular crankandpiston massive will already know of our big, big like for Ferrari’s macdaddy after a couple of posts here and there. But come on, a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8, 0-100kph in 3.8s, and 1980s style that makes your heart skip a beat? You can hardly blame us.

Then again, perhaps we’ve jumped the gun. Perhaps you’ve made a beeline for the oh-so-recognisable side inlet and enormous wheel arch just poking into shot far right. Yep, a stonking great V12, a 300+kph top speed, and a healthy dollop of lunacy, the Lamborghini Countach runs the F40 close.

So, we have to ask…
