What, you’ve never heard of Tushek? Well, we don’t blame you. Tushek Supercars operates out of Ljubljana in Slovenia. Despite boasting firms such as Akrapovic and Rotobox, Slovenia is hardly well known as a hotspot for automotive companies, but Tushek is a growing concern looking to establish dealerships around the world on the strength of the Renovatio T 500. As well as building the car, it’s also looking at developing and making parts for both road and racing car companies.
So what is the Renovatio T 500? It’s a bespoke, hand-built machine, described by Tushek as a “limited production road-going car with extreme racing elements”. The sub-frame shares elements with the K1 Attack, although Tushek says it’s firmly an in-house project from the company’s own engineering, technical and design team. Available features range from luxuries like leather and Alcantara to track equipment like carbonfibre racing seats and telemetry.
The suspension uses pushrods at the front and double wishbones at the rear, while power comes from the 4.2-litre V8 used in the Audi RS 4, pushing out 450bhp. The result, in a car that weighs just 1090kg, is a 0-100kph time of 3.7 seconds and a 311kph top speed. The cost? Prices start at 300,000 Euros or $388,000.
The market for this kind of car is getting increasingly competitive, so Tushek has its work cut out attracting the hardcore collector. The Renovatio T500 is being restricted to 30 units to maintain exclusivity, and Tushek says it’s already taken two orders, as well as interest from around the world at the Top Marques show, including Dubai. We’ll be keeping an eye out to see how it gets on.
