Their spot was taken briefly by the #24 Blancpain Reiter Lamborghini Murcielago before they conceded to the #34 PRO GT by Almeras Porsche. The beneficiaries – the #50 AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia – would spend just two hours in the category lead before dropping nine places after a ten-minute pitstop. The sister #51 entry then took what was fast becoming a poisoned chalice.
