Every so often as we float around the Internet following our noses we have the pleasure of stumbling across something that really stops in our tracks. This time however the stumble came from Dimitrije Simonovic who runs the bikerscafeblog here in Dubai.

You see, what you see before you here is what could arguably be described as one of the most important cars in the Muscle car history. This 1971 AMC Javelin won the 1971 SCCA Trans-Am Championship with seven wins out of ten events.

As the only car built by Penske for his AMC effort and the last Trans Am car driven by Mark Donohue, it embodies the truest spirit of American Road racing when “Race on Sunday – sell on Monday” pitted warriors such as Mark Donohue against Parnelli Jones and a host of other equally notable combatants.

Now the best bit…It’s for sale!
