Step forward Isle of Man-native Mark Higgins who puts his skills to good use behind the wheel of a Subaru WRX STI around the hairy TT Mountain Course.

You may remember the on-board clip of a little moment he had in a dry run for the record, which Higgins later described as ‘the biggest moment of my life’. This video includes that moment, plus acres of on-board and helicopter glory shots of his record-breaking run.

Driving a US specification 2011 Subaru WRX STI, Higgins achieved speeds of 162mph (271kph) and a lapped time of 19m 37s over the 60km course.
