A few months back I wrote about a friend who was selling his awesome Porsche Turbo and was replacing it with a brand new Audi TTRS with plans to turn it into a tarmac rally car.

Well as its is now finished and is current heading off to its first event, Targa Tasmania which is being held at the end of this month.

Since we have last seen it, it has been fully stripped inside with a custom built roll cage fitted, interior panels have been replaced with Carbon fibre, racing seats have been fitted, on the outside it has new lighter racing rims and to finish off the visual effect it has been painted up with the traditional Audi Quattro racing colours.

In the week before the car left for Tasmania, we arrange a couple of photo shoots for the cars sponsors. The first was done with the driver and co driver Matt & Casey Close with just their car.

The last shoot was done with the teams second car which is the direct opposite colour scheme as the white car, it will be driven by Maher Algadri and co driven by Toni Feaver.

The teams of both cars are now in Tasmania doing final preparations for the event which starts a week tomorrow with the Prologue in George Town, keep a eye on www.crankandpiston.com for updates during the event.
